About Faith, Testimony, Church, Ministry, & The Kingdom in Action.
Introduction
Let’s tell the truth: leading a ministry, a message, or a movement can be disorienting.
You step out in faith. You invest in people. You work harder than most folks understand.
And somewhere along the way, the question sneaks in:
“Am I still supposed to be doing this?”
Most leaders don’t need a new strategy first.
They need confirmation.
Not flattery. Not stats.
But the kind of spiritual “yes” that settles deep in the bones.
That’s where presence comes in.
And that’s why Jesus stories—real testimonies from real people—matter more than any analytics dashboard.
Because when people encounter God through what you carry, and they say it out loud, it’s not just affirmation.
It’s proof that the Spirit is with you.
From the start, presence is the marker of mission.
• Moses says, “If your presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here” (Exodus 33:15)
• Gideon says, “If the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us?” (Judges 6:13)
• Jesus says, “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20)
In each case, God doesn’t hand them a five-year plan.
He gives them His presence.
And that’s enough.
When people testify, “I felt peace in that room” or “Something shifted during that talk,” they’re not complimenting your charisma.
They’re reporting spiritual reality.
And that’s what makes it sustainable.
One of the most consistent phrases in Jesus stories is this:
“I just knew He was there.”
It might be:
• A moment of weeping with no obvious reason
• A sudden calm in the middle of chaos
• A sentence that hits like a lightning bolt of clarity
And the person knows—it wasn’t emotion. It wasn’t cleverness. It was God.
These moments matter not just for the person testifying—but for you.
Because if you’re the one who preached, taught, hosted, led, or simply showed up in obedience—then their story confirms something:
The Spirit is still with you.
You can move a room without the Holy Spirit.
Music, lighting, eloquence—those all have emotional weight.
But presence is different.
You know it when:
• Time slows down
• People forget to look at their phones
• Words land like bricks of truth
• Conviction and comfort swirl in the same breath
And when people talk about those moments afterward, they often don’t say, “Great job.”
They say:
“God met me.”
“I’ll never forget what I felt in that space.”
“I don’t even know what happened, but something changed.”
Those are presence markers.
And they’re the currency of calling.
Ministry without feedback becomes machinery.
Calling without confirmation becomes burnout.
That’s why you need to build rhythms of listening for testimony.
Not for the ego boost. Not for the brand report.
But for the reminder:
“The Spirit is still moving through what I carry.”
It might be:
• A text after an event: “Thank you for being obedient. I met Jesus again tonight.”
• A story shared through a video form: “That one sentence finally broke my shame.”
• A whispered comment after service: “I’ve never cried like that in church before.”
Write it down. Save it. Revisit it.
Let it be your altar stone in the dry seasons.
The Holy Spirit doesn’t always thunder.
Sometimes He leaves breadcrumbs.
When you gather testimonies, you start to notice:
• Certain themes show up again and again
• Certain moments always seem to be the tipping point
• Certain people get ignited and go on to lead others
And if you track it over time, you start to see the Spirit’s strategy in your ministry.
Where He breathes, who He’s after, what’s being healed.
That trail gives you direction.
And direction breeds endurance.
You don’t have to create a moment.
You don’t have to manufacture transformation.
That’s not your job.
Your job is to carry the Word, be obedient, and pay attention when the cloud settles.
And when people testify—whether through video, text, or a trembling voice in the hallway—don’t just nod and move on.
Let it sink in.
Let it speak back to your weary heart.
Let it say:
“The King is still walking with you.”
“You’re still in the center of your calling.”
“His presence is your proof.”
